Jar Joy
Jar Joy, a brand started by a husband and wife duo in 2014, was a personal favorite as I've already been a big fan of their yummy desserts. They scored a big opportunity with Costco but needed a packaging refresh to really appeal to club buyers, so the design strategy was to focus on explaining every delicious layer, and really punching up the taste appeal. Not only did Jar Joy secure a distribution deal with Costco, but they also received rave reviews from the buyer, labeling the redesign a 'slam dunk.' Once the product hit shelves, it became a viral sensation with over 5 million views in just 48 hours.
